Farming the Sea

After facing the realities of a changing climate, fisherman Bren Smith turned to a new method of 3-D ocean farming to grow food that not only reduces climate impacts, but also makes the ocean cleaner, healthier, and more habitable. Smith is working with Chefs to promote kelp as a new “super food” that is not only healthy but improves the environment and reduces the stresses on our planet from land-based agriculture.
