The 57th annual GCFI conference will be held from 8 November through 12 November in St. Petersburg, Florida USA. This is the first time that a GCFI conference will be in St. Petersburg, a regional center for marine management. The venue will alternate between the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissions's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute and the St. Petersburg Downtown Hilton.
There will be sessions focusing on Socio-economics and Management, Marine Protected Areas, Habitat in the Marine Environment, Pelagic and Demersal Fisheries, Invertebrate Fisheries, GIS and Remote Sensing in Marine Applications, and a special two-day Spawning Aggregation symposium. There will also be a poster session at the St. Petersburg Hilton on Tuesday evening 9 November.
